About the Author
Chris Spatz earned a Ph.D. from Tulane University in experimental psychology. He subsequently held NSF and NIMH postdoctoral fellowships in animal behavior at the University of Michigan and the University of California, Berkeley. He is a professor of psychology at Hendrix College, Conway, Arkansas. Spatz also held positions at The University of the South and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Surprisingly very good...

I bought this book used for my Intro Statistics course to save some money... The book I received was in near perfect condition... As for the contents of the book itself, the chapters are very short (which I love) and explain things very well... In each chapter there are not just explanations of how various statistics are used and completed, but also short story-like examples to help you comprehend what you just read and how to put it to use. I found this part especially helpful and I really do think that the contents of this book was put into very easy to understand words...

Great Book!

Chris Spatz wrote this statistics textbook with the student in mind who has never took a stats class! It is elementary stats and it serves as a textbook or a refresher. I am glad my instructor choose this book because I have taken a stats class before this course and the book was not the best to use for an intro stats class.
This book has problems to work, it has an accompanied website, in addition, it has definitions and explanations for each definition and keywords in this book! It is so awesome and I understood immediately!
If you have taken several stats classes and you are comfortable with it then don't buy this book if you need a challenge. If you need a refresher then yes buy it!
I would suggest all college/ grad school introductory level -stat professors to use this book in your courses! It is that wonderful!!!
