Not an easy read, but...

This book is the February selection for our Arts & Culture Book Club. It's not an easy read for the lay person, and my attempts at explaining its concepts to fellow members who have yet to read it have fallen short. But, I have continued to read it because it's fascinating - despite being dense. I find myself looking for additional books to read (I've already bought and read a short book about Klee and his use of color and Kandinsky's "On The Spiritual in Art") and downloading Wagner and Mussorgsky - artists and musicians discussed in this book who warrant further exploration. I am looking forward to our group's discussion of the book later this month. It's a stretch for us but, I believe, will be invaluable as we continue to read about modern art and artists.
